Just to keep the postings going, some random new stuff.  Inspired by a ugly guy photo from the web. Kinda like the look in his eyes.

I of then get asked how the illustrations of the carddeck were done. Some people think of a genius drawing the card in one shot, but it takes lots of time and patience.

I started the work on this sidescroller about one year ago. Found the sketches recently and had fun developing it further. At the moment I’m looking for codingpeople to create a XNA game together. All graphics are drawn by hand with a ballpen, scanned and textured. The first image is a cinematic moment when escape ships try to leave earth. The second image is a bossfight.

This year I made a folded paperbunny for my valentine. The printable version can be donwloaded below. This version is a bit too detailed at the actual printsize (folded ~10cm high). Images of the folded bunny and the 3d model in the gallery.

I really like the game “Overlord”. Strange humor and great designed main character. Somehow I didn’t like the character of the real overlord (the sorcerer at the end of the game, sorry didn’t mean to spoil).

Also thought about new minions and good/evil daughter designs. More at the gallery.

Quick concept for characters. A crew of a funky spaceship.

According to printingissues the design of the cardborders changed a little. I recommon to print them with a laserprinter on synthetic paper at least 200g or on normal paper, at least 300g with matt foliation. Use cutmarkers on the backside, check coverage between front and back before cutting. Print on A3 don’t fit image to papersize (ignore Acrobat warning).

Finally getting further with the “Werwölfe von Düsterwald” carddeck. Amor, imprisoned in a childs body, not allowed to be in love. So I decided to make him a bit angry about his situation. (Actually he can be part of the couple in the game)

Since we got a pet lots of bunny situations happen. Most of them ending with fatalities.

Startet to illustrate a carddeck to a roleplayinggame named “Werwölfe von Düsterwald”. The original cards are boring an too bright. The set should be very dark. The first two cards are almost done. Thinking about tarotcard size (~10cm height).
